If this term seems to be something like an alien space ship to you then you’re far away from reality. How did you learn to swim? To speak? To walk? Of course you’ve learned all of these things by performing a physical act and probably you’ve done it a thousand of times. So the keys are movement and experience. You may like to watch someone doing something but if you’re kinesthetical learner you need to start with moving to remember it. In a matter of a fact even the muscles have memory!
There some good ways to improve your learning skills as:
Walking while reading or writing
Exactly! You’re not crazy, you don’t want to make people nervous… you’re doing it because deep inside it helps you to concentrate better and honestly that’s how i feel about it personally. Even if writing while walking seems to be a little bit weird it can for example overcome a writer’s block and if you continue on walking you might just find that ideas are just popping into your head as you do!
Use a computer
As moving with mouse, typing and clicking are definitely activities they’re great for this particular learning style. You simply click something or drag it and something on screen changes. Isn’t that fantastic? Be sure to do a proper research because there’s a lot of software for everything you may want to do or learn. You can hold your learning diary, effectiveness’s sheets and everything else you can think of!
Write, doodle and draw!
Take a piece of paper and start by drawing your idea in the middle – with big colorful or shaded letters. After that just make few strong branches on which you may want to write a main topics of certain subject. Later just draw around, write ideas that come to your head. Your hand muscles will strengthen your brain’s memory!
Remember that if you don’t do any sports it doesn’t mean that you’re not a kinesthetical learner! For example i’m not only not-good at sports (used to dance
but also not too much interested in that field! If you’re not sure about which is your best way to learn take a look at my learning styles and strategies post!
