How to learn fast… or faster just by saying ohhhh or ahhhh!

January 27, 2010

It’s my first post since few days, also needs to publish all of them comments so thanks for them! Your opinion is really keeping my up in this time of multi-tasking… i’m keeping one business (mainstream webdesign), starting off with new private projects and changing house/flats – all of it is actual as i write this post :) i could get stressed but i prefer to say to myself that i it’s said that a mind can concentrate on 7 things in the same time but it’s still best to concentrate on one. ohhh… is it so?

thist post gonna be short, simple and informative. Let’s face it – we all make pretty weird sounds. Your wife ask you something and you go “yhym”, your friend tell you something nice you go “yhymymym” (or something like that ;) , you feel enlighted after someone told you how to learn fast and you go “ahhh, so it’s so easy!”. We use a lot of sounds, but we not only communicate with them – we set ourself in a state that’s actually “anchored” to certain sound – you don’t do “ohh.. that’s nice” when you just got call from your boss saying you that he signed you up for motivational training, you’d rather say “yhym… so you say that i’d use more motivation?”. Now I join sounds with words so you get it better but of course you know what i mean (don’t you? “yhymm… please continue”).

Coming back on track… all of these sounds are not only reactions for some typical actions that provoke them, they’re heavy duty mind setters. It’s enough that you change “grrrr… i need to do this stuff now” for “ohhh… when i finish i will be able to go to cinema”. As you may have noticed is not only about changing the sound but also attitude. What I mean is that it may be quite hard to do “ohhhs” and “Ahhs” when you need to clean toilet after party. I know i saturate but i simply love to do so ;)

The plan of action is simple:
1. Identify sounds you use when you’re happy or unhappy about some thing or action.
2. Start using these sounds just before you start to learn.

3. If needed reframe your goal [see party example] so the sound match your feeling.
4. Go “Ohhh… and now I’ll learn this and I’m gonna remember it easily. Ahhhh… it’s so comfortable to have as great memory as I do”.

The “positive” sounds are connected to a pleasure/resourceful state of your mind and since you want to learn it’s quite much better than doing it after “ihhh… i’m so lazy” – you’ve noticed how it works? ohhh, well… it’s all about enjoying the process!
