Subconscious learning can be quite controversial topic due to first part of this phrase yet if we pass on all of objections we arrive having a quite nice accelerated learning technique. How to start?
1. Prepare your materials.
2. Set up tape recorder or think of using voice recording software on your pc (even the windows one).
3. Switch on rec and start reading material you want to learn.
4. After you finish you can prepare your bad, put the headphones and simply go to sleep listening to the story.
Now… are there any limitations. I guess that until you master this skill (because it’s just a skill) you gonna need to consciously go through what you need to learn anyway. What I mean is that if you put five audio books about chemistry in a winamp playlist, go to sleep and expect to become Mendelejev in the morning that may simply not happen. In the same time all of these information will go into your mind and it will be easier to learn. Thinking of a best use for this kind of learning a history comes to my mind. How to get A+ and speak about some event for one hour? Follow these steps and you’ve got it guaranteed:
Subconscious learning strategry
1. Go one time over the story – just read it.
2. Take a second approach but this time create funny story (remember that the stronger emotionally/more funny sentences are easier to remind). Simply take a keyword from each 200-300 hundreds words and put it nicely. When you finish you should have something like that [sf;] :
a) Cleo that was patra went to fight on the desert in 2045
b) Because of her victory Julius the not so brave decided to conquer her heart
c) Beginnings of this quest was hard as Cleo had a lot of guys who fought for her
d) Julius’s trick to treat them with poisoned apples in 249
e) The polar bear factor
f) Not so Happy end
3. Record this story ![]()
The underlined words are the ones you can use as a keys to access your memory. From them you create another story, i could say rather “animation” in your head. Imagine Cleopatra throwing at Julius a handful of sand and as he got blinded he moves in the direction of rock from which he fall and he lands on a submarine ship called “The Quest”. When you see this ship you can zoom out the image so you can see all the other ships named from Competition 1 to Competition 30, imagine them going into a setting sun with Cleopatra image on it. Now imagine that “The Quest” shoots at them with poisoned gas apples instead of cannon balls. Now this fight continue over the long long track and one of the apples hits the polar bear which gets pissed off and decides to eat Cleopatra.
Now tell me… could possibly forget something so stupid?
the most important rule while creating these stories is to work with your imagination because the more weird it’ll be the easier will be reminding it.
4. Go to sleep and listen to the first story. The second one is just to remember keywords so you can be sure of accessing it easily later one!
Another thing we could connect with subconscious learning could be playing over and over again the same stuff. As long as it’s not the most effective way for sure it doesn’t require from you a lot of effort. It’s enough to listen to Italian language learning tapes while you drive to your work for half of a year and probably you’ll end up getting to know this language pretty good in that time. You don’t loose nothing and you gain a lot – i.e. you don’t get nervous when there’s a traffic jam because you in that time you simply learn! Personally I advice you to record first hypnotic induction from instant self hypnosis technique [left colums under articles] so you put your body in a very relaxed state, but you’ll be still awake and then listen to what you want to learn – just record it all an make a playlist in winamp or other player.
